You can manage up to two freeware or trial editions of PRTG with PRTG Desktop, and an unlimited number of commercial editions of PRTG. The free PRTG version has only one limit: 100 sensors, which is enough to monitor about 20 servers and devices. It simply offers all the features of the previous commercial PRTG 100 license, but for free. It's as simple as that.
I am about to upgrade our PRTG server from version 8 to version 9. Do I need to do anything to the remote probes I currently have installed to upgrade them too?
